Eddie Jones says England will not fall for Argentina mind games

Eddie Jones insists England are too intelligent to be outwitted with Argentina’s claim that his negative play rugby.
Pumas hooker Agustin Creevy created the quip before this Pool C showdown where success will see England progress.
Jones recalls the 1991 World Cup final when the team of Will Carling deviated in their forward-based strength in favour of a much more game.
“It’s the old two-card trick, another one of these great old coaches, Bob Dwyer at 1991, threw out that one and there was a reply then in the England side,” Jones said.
“Perhaps if they had not played like that they would have two World Cups on their sleeves. There are lots of distinct ways to play the game.
“I provide a book and you think it’s intriguing, I donate it to somebody else and that he believes it’s crap, so what is perfect? Nothing is appropriate.
“Find a way to play the game efficiently – that is the great thing about our game. We know what we’re good at.”
Wing Jack Nowell and mako Vunipola are prepared to make their Japan 2019 debuts off the bench against Argentina getting recovered from ankle and hamstring injuries.
Vunipola has played just 17 minutes of rugby since May 11 following his comeback against Ireland during the warm-up Tests had been aborted because of damaged scar tissues, but he’s now prepared to join his brother Billy from the bunch.
“Mako, at his finest, is just about the very best loosehead in the world and also to have the calmness he attracts,” Jones added.
“He is a senior counsel for our staff. We have a team that was reasonably young and Mako has that calmness.
“You have always got two sisters at Mako and Billy and a bit more volatile, the other is somewhat more settled, so Mako was constantly up in the front together with all the parents and Billy was in the back, screaming.
“Billy is great for us since he has got that fire and temperament and you would like that from the number eight.
“You look at the background of the World Cups and they’ve been won by big number eights.”
