Pittsburgh Steelers confirm Ben Roethlisberger will miss rest of season

After affirming that he needs surgery on his knee, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been mastered by the Pittsburgh Steelers outside for the remainder of the year.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin stated:”Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his knee Sunday evening and it had been determined by the Steelers’ medical staff that surgery will be required.
“We hope that the surgery will likely be scheduled for this week. He’ll be set on our Reserve/Injured List also is out for the season”
The Steelers will be 0-2 to start the year for only the second time in Roethlisberger livelihood.
Mason Rudolph, a third-round pick from the 2018 draft, entered the game with Roethlisberger hurt and completed 12 of 19 passes for 112 yards with one interception and two touchdowns.
Rudolph becomes the starter this week for the Steelers, who play with the San Francisco 49ers.
Roethlisberger, who led the NFL in passing last year, signed an expansion in March that runs through 2021.
